I am a first-year PPE student who knew very little and had little interest in philosophy until I was introduced to moral and political philosophy, specifically thinkers like John Stuart Mill. Ever since then, I have come to realise that philosophy provides us with an understanding of the motivating factors and underlying beliefs that influence the decisions of each moral agent.

My own “philosophy”, or my own set of beliefs, has been the driving factor behind multiple initiatives, such as setting up libraries for girls in rural public schools through my small notebook designing business. This is an example of how philosophy has no set framework, and as your marketing director, I will seek to encourage students to share their own ideas, beliefs, and philosophy. In this position, I will ensure that philosophy is not restricted to those studying this discipline. Rather, I believe that every student is a philosopher in their own unique way.
